A great Calligrapher for my 07 girls!!! WITH PICS
Since most of us have yet to send out our invites b/c we are 07ers (strong and proud!! lol) I thought this would really come in handy... My sister is getting married in two months and she did a TON of researching vendors to find the best price/ quality/ service for hand calligraphy.
She posted pics of it on BHB and one of her 06 girls told her that she had paid the same price for computer printing! So I just wanted to pass this along so if anyone wants they can save this on their computer for when the time comes for invites!! I hope this helps all of my 07ers who love a good deal-- b/c I sure do!!!

Wow those are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I don't know the first thing about how much that should cost...so 1.50 per envelope lets say...and I have..I don't know...350 invites.. thats $525 dollars to do the calligraphy?
I think that would be a bit much for me for invites...although I wish I could afford that..thats gorgeous!!

NINA!!! i was thinking the SAMEEE thing .. ok so for abt 200 invites - might be a bit costly for me!! I think Im gonna comp print them myself!

Yeah............there is a calligraphy font on the computer right? I actually haven't put much thoughts into invites yet. I know there is an etiquette to it.....but would it be bad to print out the inner invites in calligraphy?

Im gonna print the inner invites in calligraphy also .. so you wont be the only one!
Nina - my last solution is clear labels - and i KNOW its not proper ettiquette - but i think i do a REALLY awesome JOB at them!!!! (did them for my e-party)

well, she charges normally $1.00 for the inner and outer ALL TOGETHER where all of the other calligraphers charged something for inner and a seperate fee for outer. now, my sister's was 1.50 for the whole thing because she chose a very intricate font style. but that's the MOST she charges--- i have seen up to 3 and 3.50 per invite.
but compared to the prices that we got on here from vendors and in general-- they were TRIPLE at best the price that she got for this. she ended up spending 292.00 (about) to get this done-- by hand, it probably took the girl god knows how many man hours to do-- when she got quotes for so much that it would have been anywhere from 600 and up to do the same amount!!! 
so she was delighted to find this girl-- i mean, usually computer done is always going to be less money but one 06 girl spent the same to have computer-- at that rate, get the hand b/c there's nothing like hand done if that's what you are into. so i thought it would be nice to share so that those who want the hand done get a good deal on it. god nina-- with some of the other vendors we priced, with your guest amount you would be spending like 2 grand on calligraphy alone!!!

Wow those look absolutely amazing and the price is def worth it!!!!
Im cutting corners wherever possible so I think Ill pretty much do them on my own on my computer but if i had a few extra bucks to spare i would DEFINATELY consider using her!!!
