Beach House Reception
My fiance and I would like to have our wedding reception at a beach house. We are having trouble finding a place. Has anyone done this before? All input would be helpful. Thank you.

Like, a privately owned beach house? I don't know where you're located but the wharf house at founders landing in southold is RIGHT on the beach and it's really inexpensive...like $400 bucks for the day of and $200 the day before if you want time to set up. The only problem is that it's kind of small (about 125 ppl) and you need to have someone who lives in southold township to book it for you. You could also look at Shelter island; a bunch of their stuff is on the water. There's also Olde Field vineyards; they're located in southold (i think) and have a private beach front area for the ceremony, reception, pictures, etc. HTH

I just saw something about these hampton houses that people rent out for either a weekend or a week. Hmmm, do a google.

That Beach House in Southold is so cute. i think that would be lovely.

thank you but it's a little to far for us. We are in western Nassau County and the farthest out we wanted to go is about an hour.
