Please help me - American Cancer Society. TODAY is the Relay in the RAIN!!!
Hello ladies! I hate doing this but I figure I have nothing to lose. DH and I are doing the American Cancer Society Relay for Life again this year. This will be our 4th year doing it. For those who don't know what it is, the Relay for Life is (taken from the ACS web page)" a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back against this disease. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team keeps at least one team member on the track at all times.
Relay is much more than a walk around a track. It is a time to remember those lost to cancer and celebrate those who have survived. It is a night for people who have shared the same experience to comfort and console one another. "
The Relay for Life is especially meaningful for DH and me, as DH is a cancer survivor himself. Please support us and cancer research by making a donation. It can be as big or small as you can afford- every little bit makes a difference!!
You can donate one of 2 ways- on my personal webpage via credit card (this is definitely safe- that is how I paid my initial entrance fee) or by mailing me a check. If you choose to mail a check , just fm me and I'll give you my address. thanks in advance for your support. It means a lot !

OMG!! Thanks so very much ladies!!! You are all so very generous John and I truly do appreciate this. I am so happy I have tears 
If anyone would like to come down to the park that day and watch the opening ceremony, please feel free. You'll see my wonderful, brave husband walk in his 2nd survivor's lap... It truly is an emotional day. Last year I was able to read some of the cancer survivors' names. I so clearly remember reading, "In honor of My loving fiancee John" as tears ran down my face. This year I'll have the privilege of reading "In honor of my loving HUSBAND John"
Again, thanks so much for the donations and allowing me to ramble

Cancer has affected people I know personally in 3 different times in my life......I know how important it is to find a cure FAST!!!!!
BTW...Tell John to eat his 9 servings of fruits and veggies a day...if he's not doing it already......it helps keeps cancer away!
ETA...just realized it is affecting a 4th person in my life.....a young man who I was good friends with in HS

Ladies,
I am doing the relay this Saturday and my team is no where close to reaching our team goal. If there is any way you could donate even $5, I would so greatly appreciate it. I know it's tough with wedding planning but every little bit helps. For our part, DH and I are donating $300. I appreciate you all taking time to read this and hope you can help me. I love my 06 girls!!!
