Re: Looking for a reasonably priced reception hall that still has good quality. Any info would be great.

Is there any specific location you wanted to stay close to or a specific time of year that you had your heart set on?

I'm having my reception at the Fox Hollow which me and FH absolutely fell in love with. (and I know the quantity and quality of food is great as I've been to weddings there before)

We don't have a super huge budget though so we decided to have a smaller reception (like 130-140 guests) and have it during the off season (we're gettting married in march, which worked perfect cause I was thinking about doing an irish theme anyway.)

But bottom line if you don't mind the winter months you can have almost any place during the offseason for a reasonable price.

p.s. - offseason usually runs like January through early april

The Riveria in Massapequa

In general if you have the reception in the afternoon or on a Friday night, you can get a nicer place for a reasonable amount.

Re: Looking for a reasonably priced reception hall that still has good quality. Any info would be great.

I've been to great weddings at the K of C's in both Oceanside and Seaford. Very affordable.

We looked at the Carriage House at the Millerage, they gave us a great price. My brother and SIL had their wedding there 2 years ago and everything was top-notch.

If you couple an affordable RH with an off-season date and/or a daytime event, you can do great price-wise.

My DREAM place!

Re: Looking for a reasonably priced reception hall that still has good quality. Any info would be great.

it depends what your idea of "reasonably priced" is and what you're flexible on...

you can get my place, which I consider to be top quality (but I'm not biased, either!) for 95pp, if you have it on a Sunday night in the off-season.

I'm having a sunset wedding on a Sunday in November and paying 110pp, plus tax and gratuity. If I were to have my wedding starting at 6:30 that night, it would have been 95pp (and they would have been able to have a day wedding, as well). We're the only wedding that day.

I HIGHLY recommend The Crescent... it's RIGHT on the beach. You feel like you're on a cruise ship!! And the food is EXCELLENT!!!

Highly recommend Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst. You can pay anywhere from 60 to 120pp depending on what day and what time of year you want to get married. It's on the water and it is gorgeous. You get a lot for your money also. You should check it out. FM if you want more info.
