21 ST Century Today's Bride - Where you a "winner " also?

Did anyone go to that bridal expo at the Uniondale Marriot and fill out a card when they got there. I got this call saying I won three prizes.. A three day two night stay at a hotel and some online prize. It sounds scamish since I have to go this inn in Huntington and most likely sit through some type of selling speech about cookware..

It sounds very illegit, anyone else get this call?

It is a sales pitch- they are trying to sell you things- I got the call but I didnt go because it sounded too good to be true and a lot of other brides on here got that same call too.

I got it once and found out it is real but it's a scam underneath it all....they will show you these pots and pans apparently and pressure you into buying them....I didn't end up going to recieve the prizes b/c I just didn't want to deal...they have a whole story on them....

My FH and I went to it. They really do give you the trip (which we haven't used yet) but you have to stay there for like 3 hours looking at the pots.

someone just posted about this the other day......they will want you to buy expensive pots and pans that you likely can't afford and don't like/want. it is a scam to the extent that it isn't really a prize you've won.

as FMIL says, the NY lottery isn't going to call her, she has to contact them to claim her millions.

in short, many of us get this call all the time....we haven't entered a contest or signed up for it...they are basically masquerading as prize-givers when in reality they are telemarketing.

Ok, I haven't been to an expo in almost 8 months & I just got another message from them this morning!! Argh, when will it end??
I really hope these people keep track of when you are getting married and take you off all these stupid lists!

I got the same call about 2 weeks ago. I never went. I heard the stuff was very expensive and they pressure you into buying the stuff.
