Civil ceremony--walking down the aisle?

FH will be at the front waiting with the guys, but can I have his parents walk down the aisle, and have my cousin (also a GM) escort my mom down the aisle? Also his grandparents would also walk down before the BMs. I know you can do whatever you want, but would this look okay? I think everyone wants to walk down the aisle, so why not honor everyone, right? Has anyone done this before?

This would look fine! Have the grandparents walk down first! Then the Groom, then the GM escorting the BM, then you.

I went to a ceremony this past weekend and the Groom was escorted down by his parents, then the wedding party followed. I don't see it as a problem and it would be an honor to be showcased this way for photos!

Oh, no. We don't want the groom escorted by his parents down the aisle. We just want his parents walking together down the aisle.

I'm just stating how I saw someone do it! Do what you please with how they come out.

I have seen this done before with grandparents and an escort for mom. Its perfectly natural and normal looking. I think its a great honor to include your grandparents in the ceremony. It makes it EXTRA special and doesnt look weird at all.

so you are gonna go:

Your Mom + cousin
FH parents
FH grandparents
BM
MOH
You & Dad

Makes sense to me.

Message boards can be so impersonal! I wasn't upset or annoyed at anything, although it may have come across that way!

I would just make sure the photographer is aware of these special people being escorted down the aisle, so he/she can grab a photo of them for a keepsake.

Thanks! Should we do it in that order do you think? I like the idea of the grandparents first. They are FH's grandparents.

You can do it like this

FH Grandparents
FH Parents
Your Mom + Cousin
BM
MOH
You + Dad

Either way works. Its all personal preference. I would just keep FH grandparents and FH Parents in line with each other. But if you want them to come out first, that definately works well too!
