Calling all moms

Ladies what are doing to make the children feel as they are a part of the ceremony. Im inheriting a stepdaugher, I saw on TV one time when someone said vows to their stepchildren.

Any thoughts or ideas on this. Also to all the mommies how are the kiddies feeling about ya getting married??

When my brother married my SIL she had a 7 year old daughter and at one point during the ceremony she came up with them and my brother had a little gold ring with a diamond in in and he got on his knee and put it on her finger!!!! It was sooo cute! She felt soooo special b/c she got a diamond ring!!!

Yeah my cousin did somehting similar to that. He gave a little heart ring and read her a poem. If you dn't wanna do a ring you could give her a necklace too.

When my brother got married (his wife had a son from a prior relationship) and they had vows and a ring for him - it was such a beautiful part of the ceremony - it was sooo nice...

Sample:

If you don't care to use "step" you may substitute "parent" or "child." The format is the same for mothers and daughters.

im not a mom, but my fh is a dad., He has 2 kids, he will have them as his "best men" think thats adorable

My Son will be 4 at the wedding, hes walking me down the aisle with my Dad. We are doing a the Family Medallion ceremony for him.

Alex and i have a 2 yr old....she will be almost 3 when the wedding is here...she is our FG but i did want to have her come up w/ us on the alter at 1 point...i love the idea of giving her a peice of jewlery or something that she can have when shes older. Im sure she wont have any clue on the day...but when she looks back id want her to see she was a big part of us! I was also thinking of having her walk down the asile along w/ my father and I but now im thinking i really want my mom to give me away as well. Wish 4 of us can fit! haha Guess that would look cheesy! :)
Also at the reception when everyone gets introduced im going to have Alex,Alexa and myself walk in together as the new and improved D Family!!!

My future step daughter is a Jr. bridesmaid in the wedding.
We have a really good relationship, she is going to be 10 next week. Her mother is getting marrie din Nov. as well. I think she's ok with both weddings...
