My Bachelorette Party (May 6, 2006) Norwegian Dawn 1-Night Cruise to Nowhere! REALLY LONG & DETAILED with PICS!!!!
You guys asked for it... 
I can’t even explain how much fun we had! This was the BEST idea for a bach party and I highly recommend it to anyone, esp those whose weddings are the end of this year. There is another sailing on Oct 14th (CLICK FOR INFO )!
Our Day
We planned to get to the boat by 1pm to board early, but we ended up having a few too many mimosas & bagels at my mom’s house and lost track of time. We got to the port by 2:15.
As soon as we parked the cars the girls broke out my lovely attire.
We got inside after taking some pics and had to wait in a waiting room before we actually got to wait on the line. But once we got on line (about 20 mins later) we moved pretty quickly. Our bags had to go through the x-ray machine and we were kinda nervous because 3 of the girls had some bottles of vodka, jack, some cranberry juice and soda in their suitcases. We saw the security guy watching the screen say to the other security guy standing next to him “bottles” and the other guy said “let ‘em go” so we were able to
bring all that on the ship!
We finally get on the ship and we’re all excited at this point, but here come the announcements for the safety lesson! As soon as we get to our rooms (we were upgraded to porthole rooms from inside rooms AND we had 2 rooms adjoining) we grab our life vests and go to the deck we were assigned. It was kinda boring, but short and sweet… we tried to have fun with it!
After the safety lesson we run back to the room, make some quick drinks and head up to the main deck to watch as we pulled away from the dock (4pm) and get some BBQ. We got our dogs, burgers, fries and frozen drinks and scooped up a few chaise lounges next to each other on the right side of the boat. We were told to sit here so we could see the statue of liberty as we go by it.
Afterwards, we stopped in the casino for a minute and walked back to the blackjack tables. Well, this guy was at the blackjack table and started talking to me about how he just got married, blah blah. Well he turns back around and he gets BLACKJACK! He got a couple hundred and hands me a $25 chip since I was his good luck charm. LOL. After refusing it twice he insisted and I took it. I thanked him and we all went over to roulette. I put the $25 chip on black and black it was!!! I doubled it! A free $50 bucks… great start to the night.
We went to the main dining room at 8:30 and they never had a reservation for us! They refused to put 2 tables together (couldn’t understand that) and didn’t have any tables for 9 people. So they took us down to AQUA, which is the same food & atmosphere. The food just okay… but the dessert was yummy!
The girls gave me some gifts at dinner…
Edible undies! 
We wanted to do karaoke after dinner, but the line was too long so we hit the CASINO!!!!!!! Glad we did. It was really crowded but my favorite slot machine was open. The $1 Wheel of Fortune Slot. I put $20 in… nothing. I put another $20 in and I hit the SPIN! I spin and win $100!!! I cash out. My other friends take turns playing and no one is really winning too big. So I sit down again later on and put another $20 in… I get the SPIN again! I spin it and it hits….$400 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were all screaming! Well I played a few more dollars and then I get another $100 by getting the triple bars or something I don’t even remember. My sis made me cash out… she reached her little arm around everyone and pushed “cash out” so I wouldn’t keep playing. I ended up with over $600 somehow! PLUS the $50 in chips from that guy and roulette.
We put the $$$$ in the room and go to find the clubs. The first dance club we went to was much older people so we stayed for a little while and danced with the dancers…
Then we went to Dazzles! It was mostly our age and younger but we had a blast there! They played great dance music, Z100 type music and some 80’s. We ended up being there until almost 3am.

After the club we were hungry. The best thing about cruising is that all the food is FREE! At 3am we got chicken fingers, fries, pizzas and stir-fry and brought it all back to one of the rooms. Too bad the food wasn't that great... but at 3am who cares right?
We had to be off by 9am the next morning.
Sorry so long but we had such a GREAT time and I couldn’t leave anything out! Now I’m ready for the wedding!!!!
Oh and to top it all off… FI also won $600 in AC!

Sounds like a GREAT time! I would totally have done that...if my wedding wasn't in March! Im sure you just gave some girls an amazing idea!

Wow sounds like you had a great time. The Oct. 14 thing sounds good (thanks for the info) since my date is Oct. 20, 2006. I might have to pass a hint or two to the BP.

I'm not 100% sure since they wouldn't let me pay a dime... but I think it came out to $150pp. They included the cost for me in there. I think for the first 2 people in the room it's full price and the 2nd two is half or something? We had 3 rooms. So they just took the total and split it by 8 of them.
It includes the rooms, entertainment and ALL food on the ship.
