Cause it is SO much fun
to make fun of Scientology and Tom Cruise. It is just too easy sometimes - Tom give us a challenge! 
On Saturday, we wrote about how Scientologists were reportedly snatching up tickets to Mission Impossible 3 by the droves at the Arclight Cinemas on Sunset, near the Hollywood Scientology Center.
Well, it seems like we are NOT the only ones reporting this occurrence!
LA Weekly scribe and blogger Nikki Finke wrote Sunday afternoon a report, which backs up our claims.
Reports Finke:
I have confirmed today that there has been an unusual pattern of ticket sales for Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible 3 at Hollywood's ArcLight Theater, which just happens to be located right near the Church of Scientology Celebrity Center where Cruise belongs. Unconfirmed anecdotes are circulating on the Internet this weekend of individuals buying hundreds of tickets at a time from the ArcLight. But an ArcLight employee did confirm to me just now that "people have been buying dozens of tickets at a time" for MI3, which is definitely an extraordinary sales pattern for the movie theater (or any theater, for that matter). Certainly, the "M" word - for manipulation - comes to mind.

I wonder what kind of spaceship/plane he used to come here. Surely not the type that flew the frozen evil alien souls here!
Tom Cruise definitely stopped being remotely hot when he started talking without a script. Stick to speaking only when you're working - people will like you more!

I just read that he's developed an exercise program with the good folks at BuffBrides so that Katie - oh, excuse me, Kate - can lose 40 pounds before their wedding because, apparently he wants her to be the most beautiful bride there ever was. In July.

The purple clashes with the book too much. What would Ron Hubbard think - I think a change to red is in the works. And they would need to carry the nursing bras (useable as a lasso as a way to grab impressionable ex-WB characters and turn them into drones).

I vote for the twins first - they are so drone-like already. We should save Happy though - no dog deserves that torture!
