Signature Florist girls...
How far in advance are we supposed to call George to finalize flowers? I've made some changes with what i want since we drew up the original contract and i want to make sure i have enough time to go over it with him. When did/when do you plan to call him to finalize?

not major changes...changed some flowers in the BM bo-k's, changed some quantities, changed some corsages to mini bo-k's. i want to get prices also if i want a different CP. i guess i should call him huh?

Yeah, I would call and discuss this so that you know how much the price changes. Better to be safe than sorry.

I met with Yelena this past Saturday. Loved the pics of their work and their prices were really good too. I was a little turned off by her though...I didn't feel like she was understanding or getting a lot of things I was saying - I'd say something and she'd just look at me with a blank face. I also found it a little hard to understand her. And she was very unprofessional...our 1 hr. appt turned into 2 hrs - we were really late for a communion party we had to go to after. She would leave us sitting there for 15 minutes at a time anytime a customer came in...or she'd say she had to go get something to show us and would be gone for 10 minutes and come back with nothing saying she couldn't find it. I know they do amazing work b/c I've seen all the past Signature brides flowers on here...I just didn't get the greatest feeling from Yelena. Also is it odd that she didn't give us the quote sheet to leave with? Or do you only get a copy when you book and give a deposit? Luckily I have a great memory and jotted everything down as soon as I got in the car - she gave us nothing in writing to go home with.
The quote was about $1k higher than our budget but I do know there are things we could cut back on to get the price down...so we'll see. I'm still meeting with Flower Michele later this month and 2 other local florists by my parent's house that I know a lot of people have used for weddings and recommend (Masters & Co in RVC and Wicks in Baldwin). So we'll see - I don't think I'll decide on a florist until next month sometime.
