UPDATED W/ PICS! Cinco de Mayo quick mini wedding review GLEN ISLAND HARBOUR CLUB
Hi Everyone!
We did it. My husband and I were married last night at 7:30 at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle as the sun set behind us in our candle lit chapel facing the Long Island Sound.
It was everything and more! It happened so quickly and I am still in a fog! Before I hop on a plane Sunday morning to Turks and Caicos, I wanted to let everyone know how well everything went!
Arcadia Florist- In the beginning, you may remember that I was freaking over the misquote, a $1200 difference. I believe it was a miscommunication, but it was resolved and my flowers were astonishing looking! People were amazed and thought we paid triple of what we actually paid. Gorgeous work, so happy we chose them.
Guys and Dolls- Hair stayed all night, even when the photographer had me out by the water BEFORE the ceremony with my 6 foot veil blowing in the wind.
Vera, the Makeup Artist- WOW! My girls were transformed to Super models. Absolutely gorgeous. And my makeup, well, let's just say she covered up some new "visitors" on my face, i guess from nerves.
Meme's Bridal Salon- What can I say? I purchased a Maggie Sottero gown from them and I can't tell you the compliments I received. Perfect alterations and it fit like a glove. I felt like a true princess.
Glen Island Harbour Club- Truly the best catering hall EVER! I had a bridal attendant, Calista, who was with me from 2PM to 2AM. She was everything from wedding coordinator to bridal dresser to fire fighter, putting out mini fires with my mother in law! She was also a good therapist, listening and giving guidance. She is an angel. Our maitre'd, Bob, orchestrated an event that was beyond our expectations, nothing went wrong and everything was seamless. Rocco, our banquet manager, was there as I ran in to get ready and stood at the chapel doors right before I went in. What an amazing person! We absolutely love him! The food was excellent, the service first class, and the staff was spectacular. What more can I say, truly a top notch catering hall!
Big Apple Music Productions- If you haven't picked a DH, this is the place to visit. Paul and his crew did Danielle Monero's wedding from Z100's morning show and received fabulous reviews. They also did my good friends wedding, so how could i go wrong? He was amazing and had all 180 guests up right after our first song and through out the night. Never once was there a lull. The sombrero's and the maracas handed out in honor of Cinco de Mayo were a hit. He also took pictures of all of our guests and had them up on the plasma screen. Just perfect, wonderful guys!
Well, hopefully tonight, I can get some pictures from my mother and assorted friends and get them posted. Tomorrow we are off to The Palms in Turks and Caicos for 8 days.
I am so happy to be a Mrs.!!!!! My husband was a super star and I can't wait to be with him for the rest of my life.
This was truly my DREAM WEDDING!!!!
