Who wants a review of Woodbury Country Club

I have my cousin's wedding today at WCC and I was wondering if there are any brides out there who want me to check something out for them or a review tom. Let me know.

If you can give an overview of the service of the staff and cocktail hour. IF you have the outdoor cocktail hour how does the place look

I just booked my wedding there 2 hours ago! We're going to have the ceremony near the pool, the outdoor cocktail hour and lower banquet room. Defnitely share anything that leaves an impression, good and bad.

Ok girls!!!! I was a BM at my cousin's wedding yesterday and it was at WCC. First of all....the grounds are beautiful. I have to say there are definately many photo opportunities there. She did have a beautiful day so the weather was definately on her side. She was in the lower floor reception room with the outdoor cocktail hour. Actually the CH was outside but in the tent. It was so beautiful out so there was no need to have the heaters on or the sides to the tent pulled down so I can't comment on how the CH outdoors would be in bad weather...but for nice weather it is beautiful. The food at the CH was good. She had the main stations....seafood....carving....pasta......etc. All were very good. A nice touch was that they had a guitar player during the CH. (Nice idea).
After the CH was over guests were escorted into
the recpetion room. The room was really beautiful. Her flowers were gorgeous. I am not too sure how many people she had at her final count...my guess is somewhere right under 200....this was a perfect # for the room. There was a good amount of room between each table and no one felt too crowded and on the other hand the room was by no means empty. The service was good. She had as her 1st corse a mixed green salad with some kind of fish/quiche with a flakey crust. There was a pasta corse and for dinner the choices were salmon, NY strip steak and Chicken medera. I got the steak which was served with mashed potatos and it was very good. Others were saying the chicken was good. Her cake was beautiful and they had ae Veneisse hour which is always my FH and my favorite!!! They had a nice ice sclupture at one the table for the VH. There was fruits, pastries, a lot of different kinds of cake, cookies, ice cream, crepes etc....A nice touch was that along all of the stations they had martini glasses filled with different kinds of mouses...like choc, stawberry and vanilla. I liked that idea and lot of guests were taking them. The VH was back in the same tent that the CH was set up in. Right outside the VH tent was a bar set up with cordials....another nice touch.
Overall..i had never been to a wedding at WCC and I have to say I was impressed with the grounds. That is one of the nicest things about the whole place. Her pictures I am sure came out great!!! The food was good and the service was good too. The only thing I would ask your BM is...there were 2 bars set up at each corner of the room...but the wait staff never came around with table service to refill drinks...I know sometimes they usually refill the drink you were drinking so the guests do not have to keep going over to the bar. Last night evertime you wanted a drink you had to get up and go back over to one of the 2 bars. Not a huge deal, but something to think about if that bothers you.
I wish all of the WCC brides lck and if anyone has any questions that I didn't cover let me know.
