Checking the registry is a good thing!
I read about someone here getting good stuff bought off the registry and I went to check mine.
And I'm glad I did!
All my towels were purchased except for one that showed requested: 4, purchased: 1. I thought, that's funny, to buy one and leave three there. Then I looked at the name. It was a bath mat. We registered for 4 bath mats. 
So I changed it to requested 0 and then noticed that two other things we had registered for were discontinued!
So, you see, it's a really good thing to check! (or at least that is what I'm going to tell myself before checking every day!)

I agree about checking for discontinued items. Or at least that's what I tell myself I'm doing three times a day!!!

I figure the weekend is going to be a hot time for purchases. I'm scheduling a check every hour.
