i hate to do this to you guys! FSIL VENT!!!!!!

ok well i hate to be a complainer!!!!! but........after spending the weekend with FSIL i must get some things off my chest!!!!

Her wedding was three years ago and yet she is comparing everything of hers to mine and mine didnt even happen yet!!!On top of that she is making up stupid lies about it.....like i showed her my boquet that i picked out and i mentioned that it consisted of 3 dozen flowers.....well instead of saying thats nice she was like o yeah mine was like SIX DOZEN FLOWERS!!!!!can i say then she is telling me that she had 250 people at her wedding when i remember that she only had 180 ( i was one of her bm's and helped her with everything!) so basically im wondering is she just going to keep going on and on !!!!! ok thanks ladies!

Jac she's envious of you!! You're beautiful..in love..and everyone is excited for your wedding. Its too bad she thinks she has to "outdo" you..especially since her wedding was three years ago!

Don't let it get to you....She's just jealous of the attention. IT doesn't matter how many flowers or people will be at yours or her wedding...what matters is that you are marrying the love of your life..your happy...and that people have a good time at your wedding. And I'm sorry..but YOU could get married in your backyard and have the reception there...and I guarantee it still would be fun.

So don't worry about her....You keep on..do what you gotta do.....Just being you is already being better than her You rock!

I totally know how you feel...my cousin in my family has been telling me things like that too! At first I was like "ENOUGH!!" but now I almost feel bad b/c I think that she just misses having hers to plan....or she just thinks she knows everything and she has to one up me ! I know how hard it is to let this junk roll off your back but try not to let her get to you....you know YOUR DAY will be wonderful and who cares if there are 10 flowers or 10 million!! Your happiness is all that matters! Never apologize for venting...always here for you!!

you girls crack me up!!!! i know what you are all saying is tru and i def will have to learn that through out this process that i have to learn not to sweat the small stuff....(this is a big problem of mine!) i guess i just wish more people could share my happiness instead of critique it.......

Some people feel the need to compare in order to make THEMSELF feel better. She probably admires your taste and perhaps is a bit (to put it mildly) envious. I sense a little competition from the way she is approaching the situation and all I can say is...DON'T LET HER GET YOU DOWN! This is YOUR big moment and she shouldn't be taking it away from you. Don't you hate it when people do that?

I wonder where it's coming from? It's silly to think that she's jealous of her FSIL because you're marrying her brother for crying out loud! Has she been like this with other things or just with your wedding?

Don't let it bother you. It is YOUR day and you so whatever you want. Also maybe she is comparing things because she wishes she could have done things fferently and better and she is jealous! Don't let it bother you. you have other things to concern your time with!

I think her problem is that she is just a little jealous because now you have the spotlight and may want to just relive hers all over again! And ummm if she had 6 dozen then ummm.. how's her hand feeling these days.. cause I know my hand would be broken!! You're wedding is going to be FABULOUS don't let it bring you down.. just ok her till she stops it!

A few weeks ago on z100 they were talking about this..... People that feel the need to relate things to themselves to get attention or make themselves feel better about their lives. Next time your FSIL goes off on a tangent about how she would do things tell her that's great but it's your wedding!!! Just sit down with her and tell her you have things planned out and you appreciate her input but it's side tracking you.

Jackie, don't worry about it. She's just being jealous, an she can also be annoyed that your wedding will be the center of attention. Lets face it there are new and improved things to have in a wedding every year, there are new styles and maybe shes just worried that people will think your wedding will be nicer than hers. Is she the only girl?

well i havent had anything for her really to be jealous over! i just graduated college....i guess that doesnt mean much in her book.......but for the past three years its been nothing but bridal and baby showers and births for her!!!! lol.....so for once its my turn....jeez just let me have it!

Jackie...I know that can be so annoying BUT maybe it will make you feel better knowing that what she does/says is compeletely out of jealousy and not in meant to be malicious. It's your moment in the sun right now and it's hard for her to be stuck in the shade. When our big days are over I think a lot of us may feel little like..ok I had all of this excitement and attention for the past year plus and now the day is over..what do I do now?!?!?! Don't let it get to you. Maybe she will get the hint if you don't talk about the wedding to her??
