Girls who payed for the wedding themselves...how are you wording the invites?
are u including brides/grooms paretns names at all?
are u just saying "together w/their parents"
or did u just make it from the both of you?

Together with their parents..
I felt they eeded some recognition because they are helping us in other ways and paying for small things (stamps, candles for our centerpeices etc)

Yea.. and we all have a good relationship and I felt we owed them for people who we are in a way.
Just cause they arent paying doesnt make them unimportant, ya know.

We went with invites that are from us. It says : please share in the joy as we.......,
we are paying for the wedding ourselves. We both have divorces parents and it would just get too complicated. Plus not all sets of parents are as involved as others so why should they get the credit???

we paid for the majority of the wedding but my parents are making the final hall payment and FH's parents gave us alot of cash to help out with stuff. not to mention we come from the old school and to show respect we worded this way...

the reception card (since the ceremony is at a different location) says:
