Funny story from our wedding, read on
The cake cutting was further into the night than expected, so I didn't care anymore about my makeup. And photographers usually leave after the cake cutting anyway. I fed my DH nicely, but I figured he'd get me with the cake.
I don't know what he was thinking, but when he went to smoosh the cake in my face, he went up my nose, both nostrils. I got so carried away that I took an entire slice of cake and smashed it into his face and hair. Boy that was fun.
But then, when I went to blow the cake out of my nose, I began to bleed. (I've been very sick and I have a bleeding disorder, so it's normal.) So, here I am, with cake and blood on my face. The MC was behind me, so he couldn't see my face.
IT GETS EVEN BETTER.................
He then says "Now Kelly will dance with her father" I turned around, with cake and blood all over me and shot him a look of death. Then, my mild mannered father starts swearing at him and ripping him a new a--hole. I ran out of the room.
To me, it happened in slow motion. But the MC picked up so quickly, changed the music, and went on with a dance song. Oddly enough, the guests I've talked to didn't even know I was bleeding. And my BM were just as clueless.

It's funny now but not at the time...
We had a speciall cake ordered one of those bridge cakes ,,,, We were supposed to pay COD that night as we were told was going through a friend who's wedding was a week before ours....
GUESS WHAT ????
You guessed it when I walked into the hall there was NO Cake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No cake a 1/2 hr no cake 2 hrs we called the guy and they never answered !~!!!!
I had to call a friend who had to open his bakery to bring a wedding cake from his stoire to us at 8 pm

No blood on the dress. I'm quite used to contorting my body to not bleed on my clothes.

My thoughts exactly...Reason # 657 why there will be no cake smashing at my wedding.
My father said that if my FH or I smashed cake in each others' face, he was going to rip all the checks for the vendors in half and make us pay for everything ourselves...
At least you didn't get blood on your dress...That would NEVER come out!
