Shared-Prong wedding bands with carat amout (please post pics)

Im going to look for my wedding band soon and think I would like a shared prong setting, half way around. My jeweler suggested 1.5 carats, but I wasnt sure how this would look (would it be too big, too small,etc). I dont want it to take away from the look of my engagement ring. Im not posting this as a "how big is your ring" thread, Im just genuinely curious how the different carat weights look in a shared-prong setting so I can get an idea of what size I like. Im getting a half around band, but would like to see pics of either half around or eternity. Thanks!

hmmm...I'm guessing you'll have about 7-8 stones, which would put them in the 20 point range....lemme see what I can dig up!

Thanks! I was thinking it may be more like 5-7 stones(I have skinny fingers) and dont want it to go too far around. Anything you could find would be great!

Thanks! Now that I see that I think I would want 2 more stones so you dont see the band. But maybe on my finger you wouldnt see that anyway. Hmmm.....I know I like a band where the setting isnt noticeable(if that makes any sense). I dont want it to look bulky. I found one on the Tiffany website that is almost 3 carats, but all around. So I guess that would be about the size of the stones on mine at 1.5 half way around. Im going to try to post a picture.

Yup. I think 7 smaller stones would look great, especially if you have tiny fingers.

Way to answer my own post like a million times, but do you know what the descriptive difference between these two rings(posted below) are. Do they just look different because they are different angles or are they different types of settings?

here is mine
my e-ring and my wedding band
wedding band is a carat
e-ring is a little over a 1/2 carat bigger

i dont suggest a wedding band that will take away from your e-ring.
i think if my wedding band was a tad bigger it would be borderline over done.

Well, I don't know if this will help because mine go ALL THE WAY AROUND, but it's a size 4.5 so that may make up for having extra stones.... My wedding band is 1.0 carat, the stones look much smaller than the other ones you've posted so far.

I bought this ring for my wedding ring It has seven stones so that the center stone matches up with my e-ring. Personnally, depending on the size of your center stone 1.5, will be too big and take away form your e-ring. I have a pave set round solitare and 1 karat shared prong looked huge and distracted from my ring. I got 3/4 k and there was not a significant price difference and I went with the smaller one. Sorry don't have a pic.

I would suggest going to fortunoff and trying some on. You will see exactly how they look against your e-ring and they have shared prong settings.

The above poster has a singel shared prong ring and the others you are describing are a double shared prong ring. Single shared prong are much harder to find. I had mine made specifically because I could not find it.

Thanks everyone! I would like a double shared prong setting (good to know because I didnt even know they made single shared ones). My E-Ring is 2.5 carat round solitaire (Tiffany type setting). Do you thik 1.5 carat E-ring with seven stones would take away from it? We're getting it from the diamond district(same guy who did E-ring) so he doesnt really have made up ones i can see since he custom makes them. He thinks 1.5 will look the best with it and lay flush up against it--hes a family friend so I dont think he would steer us wrong, but Im still curious taste-wise.Thats why Im trying to get an idea. Ive gone to Fortunoffs a few times before I knew exactly what I wanted. Maybe I should go back now and say specifically what I am looking for. I just feel bad that the lady might recognize me and Ill get embarassed More Pictures!!
