Wedding Favor Ideas-Budget $5 total

My goal is to find a favor that folks will find useful and won't throw away after the event. I'd prefer to stay away from edible favors and candles (I love them but so many folks are using the idea that I'd like to come up with something else).

My budget is $5/$6 each inc wrapping but I'd go less and wrap it myself. I went to the Mikasa outlet store in Tanger but the prices were the same as my local favor store and through the Mikasa web page. Our wedding is in Mar 2000

Karen: Drive on over to Michaels Crafts and buy frames 2 for $5.00 and put a pretty hand-written saying in them. Maybe "Live Well, Laugh Often and Love Much". Very inexpensive and your guests will love them.

It has many benefits - no bounced checks, no extra ATM fees, AMEX won't let you carry a balance so there are no finance charges AND - most importantly - there is an account of what you spent all of your money on! I used to just look at my statement with all those ATM withdrawls and never really know where all that cash went! (regular bank cards are good too but just make sure you pay it off each month or the FCs add up!)

In addition, if you have a Delta Skymiles card, you can earn points towards your honeymoon! Our airline tix are paid for already! : )

A Summer bulb like an oriental lily or a dahlia, in a miniature terracotta pot wrapped in tulle or organza. The bulbs and pot can be purchased at home depot.

Or African Violets in silver leafed terracotta pots with french ribbon around the neck of the pot.

Martha Stewart uses peonies alot in her bouquets, look at some back issues or better yet she has just put out a compilation of the last few years of her wedding magazines. It is in the book stores now.
