Re-Post from BHB-Bridal Shower Planning Help!!!!
Ok, so the bridal shower for my SIL was just "given" to me to handle. (Don't ask)
It's on June 2nd and she's a hard person to do things for.
I want to do something different like an artsy, eclectic kind of place for brunch. Something secluded but we are only 15 people.
She's a real outdoors kind of girl. Maybe a tea house or something.
Any Ideas of small bistro, coffee house places?
I appreciate all your help girls!!!!

Why not look into a private dining dinner at some of the top restaurants in the area?

Does it have to be on the island? If not, check out Alice's Tea Cup. Its a really cute place and eclectic.

I LOVE Alice's Tea Cup We almost had my shower there but I was worried that it wasn't private enough - at least the one on the Upper West Side. I think the doors to the private room don't close. There was a shower going on when I was there and it was kind of open. I couldn't have people checking me out in my bow hat. There's also another one on 64th and Lex that has an upstairs that I think you can rent out.
We had my shower at Lady Mendl's on Irving Place near Union Square. It was really great (Alice's has better scones, but Lady Mendl's has really good tea sandwiches ) - it's a gorgeous old brownstone: Lady Mendl's
If she's artsy, what about having something at a pottery painting studio? Maybe there's a place where you could have brunch brought in?

Hi - there is the Tea Room in Stony Brook also. I once threw a small shower for a friend at the Carriage House in Stony Brook. The place is rumored to be haunted, which makes for a fun atmosphere. Not sure if that's something you would be in to.
