My calligrapher's name is June Ledner. Her phone # is 631-754-0246. She is much more reasonable than many others I checked out and she does a beautiful job. She's a sweet, easy person to deal with too. She charged me $1.50 per outside envelope and 50 cents per inside envelope. Call her. She's very helpful. Best of luck with your plans.

Re: 74bride-cheap but time consuming
I would like to do my invitations on Excel also but how did you do this with envelopes? Is there someplace to tell the program that you are using envelopes instead of regular 11x8 paper so that it centers it correctly? Thanks in advance.

I've said this before...
Calligraphy isn't really that hard...get a cheap pen and see if you are any good...the work is all in the pen...I did 80 STD cards with addresses and return addresses in one night! It just cost me $15 for a nice pen...

There's a place on excell under envelopes where you can custom make the size of the envelope. (I had some help from someone at work). She put the measurements in and we played around with it..it came out perfect.

Question for yabbobay
What kind of calligraphy pen did you use and where did you purchase it from? Did you need to look at a book for the lettering?
Thanks!

I knew a little bit already (but from 8th grade!) at first I tested out with a felt tip pen from CVS...the angle makes things very easy to make the letters...the nice pen that I got (staples) did include a book...
