DID ANYONE ELSE "Win" something from 21st Century Today's Brides?
Hey Gals! I figured this was the best place to inquire about this, bc it is likely that some of you attended the bridal expo at the Huntington Hilton at the end of January (hosted by Metro Expo, or something like that)
Did any of you "win" something from them?
I got a call that I won three gifts 1) vacation; 2) $500 gift certificate to this magazine and 3) 40% off THEIR line of products.
It seems to be a catch bc we need to meeti with them at a hotel and have them talk about their product line...
So I was just wondering who else won this (so I can see if its just something they give to everyone) and what do you think?
THANKS girls!
If you dont want to post, feel free to FM me

That's what I thought....
It sounded like a catch and just the way she was talking, I wanted to tell her "are you for real?" She was kind of talking to me as if I was not-intelligent and didn't see right through this.
I just wanted to hear if anyone else heard of it, or "won", etc.

HAHA, good point...
She said "you do want to sign up because spots fill up."
When she said that, I said I am not a moron and just politely finished the conversation.

My FH and I fell for this. You have to go to a long presentation about really expensive pots and pans that they try to sell you. We realized the whole thing was sketchy when we arrived. And the "prizes" are not what they seem. My FH and I were unable to use any of them. It is a complete waste of time.

Re: DID ANYONE ELSE "Win" something from 21st Century Today's Brides?
I also "won" and fell for their scam. I went to listen about their products and in the end they wanted me to buy pots and pans and such for nearly $2000. It was a total SCAM. I wouldnt spend 2K on pots unless it came with a chef that comes to my house and cooks every night. Anyway, out of curiosity I looked them up on consumer affairs and they have some of the worse reviews and complaints I have ever read. The prizes I won were also BS. The hotel package was misleading( it was hotel "similar" to a marriott and only in a few locations, nothing exciting at all, the 500 gift certifcate was crap and I wasted 2 hrs one night listening to their BS. On top of it when we were leaving after NOT buying anything, the guy gave us such an attittude. So save your time and dont be fooled by them. Ironically enough I called was AGAIN last night by Racheal who again told me I was picked from a select few who won.
Edited for typo's

Thanks.... I appreciate all of your insight!
Why weren't you able to use them? do the prizes have limitations on them?
We are definitely not going....

What is the 500 dollar certificate? I never even heard of that company
and the third prize was 40% off of THEIR products...
I dont understand why bridal shows allow such scams....

Re: DID ANYONE ELSE "Win" something from 21st Century Today's Brides?
The $500 certificate is for a catalog full of junk. The shipping and handling charges were very high for each item. Believe me, there is nothing you would want from this catalog.
