What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

Just curious.
I have pots and pans that are $189 from Target and dishes that are $139 from Pottery Barn.
Do you think that's too much? Should I take them off?

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

I have a really big range of things, but my most expensive is a dyson vaccuum for $550! I just figured if a bunch of people wanted to chip in for something that I could really use it would be great. I didn't worry about asking for a big gift because I asked for thing sthat were $5 too! I think giving people a lot of options is better.

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

it would have been a Dyson except that we couldn't wait and bought one ourselves before we registered

the single most expensive item on our registry was a Kitchen Aid mixer, which we got... still can't believe we did!

but our everyday china was the most expensive when you add up all the pieces separately. we got that too!

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

Our pot set was $399 for a 13 piece set. I think you should leave them on if you really want it. If you don't get it then you don't. Plus if you do get them and you change your mind you can also return or exchange them.

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

Kitchen aid mixer and my pots. We may add the Dyson (just don't really have need for it in our current apt). If they are items you want, I'd keep them on. And if you don't get them and want to buy them yourself, most stores give you a discount for completing your registry for a year. That's reason enough to put it on there.

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

Our flatware is very expensive, followed by our kitchenaid mixer. If we get it, we get it, if not, no big deal. We also have things ranging from $2. corn holders to that....

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

I've got a couple of really expensive things... I also registered for a dyson vacuum, a kitchenaid mixer, and I put on an ionic breeze air purifier, which is like $350. Plus I registered for one of those massage chair things... it's like $600 and I probably won't get it... but hey, it can't hurt to put it on!
And I figure if I get one of the more expensive "extra" things and not one of the more expensive necessary things (like I get the chair but not the vacuum) I can always return it and get the stuff I really need (wahoo for BB&B's fantastic return policy, seriously)

My pots and a lot of my cookware and dishes and things add up to quite a lot, but I'm registering for everything seperately, so people have a choice to just buy one thing or to buy a set of things.

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

Mine is a Dyson Vac too ($430)! Followed by my Ralph Lauren Comforter for $280. I really don't expect to get much from my registries, but my BM's told me to make a wish list and I did! How many times in your life do you get to do this??

Kitchenaid mixer for $269. My fh and I feel guilty putting really expensive things on our registry. We try to find good deals.

One thing about registries is that it is the only time in your life where you can make a list of everything you wish for and most likely get it! Don't feel bad, people want to give you what you want!!!!

A shed for the backyard ($2000.00).

We have everything else in the house.

But we will take gift cards to help us buy it. We don't think anybody can buy it on their own.

Re: What's the most expensive thing on your registry?

My FH and I haven't really registered for much... he has a house already...and I had bought a bunch of stuff (pots/pans, utensils, tupperware) for my apartment...so together, we have doubles of a lot. I think the most expensive thing on our registry is only like $95.00 or so... I don't think it's bad to have expensive items on your registry...people could go in on a gift together....or give you gift certificates and possible reference the expensive gift as being what they had in mind for you to spend it on.
