I don't know, that sounds like a club, not somewhere to sit and talk.. also the think about having to wear heels doesn't really appeal to me!
I live near this place, it's pretty mellow. It's never crowed and not a club (at least not when I've been there for drinks).
But I am totally open to anything.

You can also take the upper level and stay on your right side and make a right on 21 street. Go straight down till you hit broadway ( there's a mobil on the corner) make a right on it and then go straight for about 5-6 blocks and its should be on your left hand side.
