When do I start my fittings - another repeated question - sorry...
the wedding is in less than 3 months now, and I'm wondering when I begin my dress fittings....

Good question. I was wondering the same. I thought the fittings started at around 10 weeks and the cost of alterations is as per the salon/seamstress. They usually cap them at a certain amount no matter what needs to be changed on the dress

10 weeks... so - am I still good? I'm in June... less than 3 months, which would be around 12 weeks or so - uh oh - I better start planning...

I would call the salon and schedule an appointment. They usually get booked pretty quickly and most shops don't like to do alterations on the weekends.

i am getting married june 4 and i still havent had my fittings. i did not know that we had to call them up to schedule an appointment. I think my alterations are 295.

For my August wedding I am starting my fittings in June. My alterations are costing me $200 (it should have been $150, but I got charged an extra $50 to replace my broken zipper).

My shop told me 4 - 6 weeks before. And ususally there's a cap on alterations, mine's $200 I think. I don't know if the cap includes the bustle though.

I am trying to lose weight so they told me to come in June (wedding in August) so they can start alterations. Otherwise, I heard it's anytime between 1 to 1.5 month before wedding day.

I am going for my first fitting this saturday- so thats about 2 months before... I am not doing them at the place I got the dress though.
I am not sure how much it is going to cost.
At the store I got the dress, the alterations were going to be capped at $175 plus $10 for each point on the bustle.
