Dress Dilemma

Hey im new to this but i am looking for advice from other brides....i am the type of person that wants everyone to be happy and it has really backfired at me. my MOH had to have a dress that was a little different from my BMs so i let her order a dress that was the same colors just a different material and halter top instead of strapless.
my colors are black and pink... the BMs dresses are beautiful but the MOH dress turned out to look Purple and pink and its very obvious. im so upset and everyone blames me for letting her get her way but how was i to know.
luckily my future sister in law who was in the wedding party just broke off her engagement with my future brother in law ..... and her dress happens to be the size my MOH needs.. now all i have to do is find a way to get the money back for the purple dress so we can buy the other dress off of the other girl..... does anyone know of any places that would take the dress or anything i can do about this????/sorry this is so long i just dont know how else to explain the situation

You can try to sell it on ebay. It may make a good prom dress for someone or if a bride needs 1 dress it will be good. Don't be too hard on yourself. You were just trying to keep the drama to a minimum during a stressful time by not having to have a battle over a dress w/ your MOH. Things will work out!

Do you have a picture of the dress? I can't decide whether to do blue, pink, or purple. What size is the dress?

Maybe you can even post it on this forum with a picture. There are so many brides on this website. There has to be someone who'll use those 2 color schemes for her wedding!! You should definitely post it on ebay as well!! Don't stress out!! Good luck!!!

cant you hold the dress place responsible for the purple dress if it came in in the wrong color???

thanks for everyones help... im going to take pics of the dress tomorrow and post it on here and maybe on ebay.

if the dress came in wrong, the shop has to fix it for you. if they can't, insist on your money back. however, if it's a different shade because of the different material, you're stuck.

she may have to eat the cost of 2 dresses. at least you have another option for her! you are lucky!

yeah but now shes saying she wont pay for both dresses......shell just wear the purple one, but its going to look horrible... it doesnt even remotely match... i really hate this, i wanted everything to be perfect.
now we found out the extra dress isnt even coming in until 4/14 and still needs to be shipped from florida after that. then whos to say the size 4 will even fit my friend, size 6 wasnt that big on her,,,,,ahhhh what do i do, my wedding is 5/6 its cutting it so close
