If you watch what you eat and work out (which you already mentioned you are going to do ) I think you can lose the weight.
Anyway this thread is not about me, but I wanted you to know I understand how frustrated you may be feeling about what people may think is a trivial amount of weight.
Good Luck.......I think you can do it!!
thank you.

Re: I need some help girls. I am so mad at myself!
What I love about WW is that there aren't restricted foods. Carbs aren't "bad". I eat rice, bread, etc. and lose weight by cutting my portions and excercising.
Jess -- I hear you about the rice, I could eat it every single day. I eat mostly brown rice now, though.

How do you guys follow that when you work? It seems so hard to me to follow those meal plans. Is there a formula that I can follow, rather than a specific meal plan?
Honestly Jess, it's so easy! I never follow it EXACTLY if I'm just not around the food. You learn to substitute, and know what to stay away from. This is the ONE and ONLY "diet" that has ever worked for me. EVER. It's fantastic, b/c in the two weeks (Phase I) you honestly can lose 15 pounds like nothing. It's a life lesson too, and builds discipline in staying away from the "no-no" carbs...
I buy all my food from the vendors/deli's around work b/c I don't bring food from home. If I do bring food from home, I make it the night before, put it in tupperware and bring it in the next day. Theyr'e easy recipes.
Anyway, for example:
If I can't make an eggwhite omlette in the morning, I'll buy two boiled eggs and not eat the yolk, with a tomato juice (or V8) and a decaff tea...
You can get grilled chicken anywhere, ceasar salad's anywhere, etc....it's honestly NOT hard at all.
that's the whole reason it worked for me, b/c I didn't have to do a lot of preparing, I could go to any restaurant and eat, not have eto count things, not memorize anything...it's super EASY. and You know I'm super LAZY!
Christine that is EXACTLY what I do!!!!!!!!! You're so absolutely right!

You don't have to delete carbs, but try to substitute whole grains for everything. With rice, try brown rice or whole wheat cous cous. For sandwiches, whole wheat pita. Also, there are some really good whole wheat pastas. That's all I buy, and if you put enough fresh tom. sauce on it you can't tell the difference.

You guys have inspired me to try the SB diet! I also want to lose a few lbs for the wedding.
I have also read about some study that rated all these diets (south beach, the zone, atkins, etc.) and South Beach was rated the best. Healthiest (not so much saturated fat) didn't completely restrict carbs - so more balanced and easier to follow. You could definitely do it Jessica! Good Luck.

Re: I need some help girls. I am so mad at myself!
Buy some lettuce. Even the one in a bag so you can substitute for rice. Watch the dressing (loaded in calories).
