What do you think of these vows for us to do with my son at the ceremony????

Do you think these sound okay?????? RD is tomorrow and I need to have them done before I get there!


Andrew: Will you welcome Peter into your family as your dad?
Do you promise to love your mom and new dad with all your heart, to make this a special family filled with love?

Andrew’s response… I do.

Mom repeat after me;
Today is not only our wedding day, but a new day for you to Andrew. Today you are getting a new dad and together we are going to be a family. I make this promise to you now, that no matter what, I will always love you and care for you as your mother and best friend.

Dad repeat after me;
Andrew, my promise to you is to be the best dad I can be for you. I will love you as a father should, help you when you need it, and if I make a mistake to show me how to love you even more. I promise your mom and you to make this the greatest family. Full of love, and laughter.

As a sign of their love for Andrew, both mom and dad would like to give him something to remember this day by.

i think this is such a nice idea on how to involve your son, very sweet!
I thought the wording is very nice, they only part i didn't quite get (but its late and I might just be tired) is this sentence: "and if I make a mistake to show me how to love you even more."
