What information goes in a Catholic nuptual mass program?

Since the awful map for the invitation is behind me, I am ready to start working on making my program. Can someone help me figure out what goes in one? In general, and specifically if other additional information is provided in a program for a Catholic nuptual mass?

I got the email. THANK YOU so much! It was exactly what I needed. I ended up dragging everything in to Adobe InDesign, so I am not sure if I should send other people my template. Unless you have inDesign..

Also, for anyone else doing a Catholic Mass...you may want to consult the book that they give you at Pre Cana they outline everything in there for you.

Basically you just want to outline the Mass for people, so it would be something like this...I've listed the parts of the mass, you may be adding or deleting, depending on whether you are doing a Mass or just the ceremony. You'll also want to add what music you're using at the appropriate points.

Prelude
Processional
Liturgy of the Word, which includes the following:
First Reading
Responsorial Psalm (can be read or spoken)
Second Reading
Gospel (read by priest or deacon ONLY)

Nuptial Vows: (not sure if this is the correct order, I've never done it before.... haha, will soon though!)
Vows
Blessing over Couple
Unity Candle

Liturgy of the Eucharist, which includes the following:
Presentation and preperation of the Gifts (people usually list the family or friends that are bringing up the gifts here)
Consecration (priest does, obviosuly....)
Sign of Peace, Our Father, etc. etc. (but you wouldnt' necessarily have to list this in program)
Communion

After communion, many couples do a presentation to the Blessed Mother and it's usually done here.... flowers are left at Mary's altar and a hymn is usually done here

Final Blessing
Recessional.


I hope this helps... and again, I would take a look at others' programs and consult the book they give at Pre Cana and talk with your priest or deacon that is marrying you.

Prelude is any music that goes before the bride... that could be music for the mothers to walk down, other important guests, your bridal party, etc. Processional music is for YOU! :)
