SWR: girls who proactiv worked for...

Ive been using it for 1.5 weeks, now i know its too early to notice any really big improvement, but seems my skin is the same, if not more oily.. im using it twice a day...
it seems like my face is just greasier and i have three MORE blemishes then i started with..
so am i wasting my time? or just stick with it till the first round of product is gone

I tired it a while ago and I used it for about 2 weeks and then I returned it. I felt like it made me break out more. I had more blemishes too. I guess it doesn't work for everyone unless its supposed to do that but I didn't like it.

It works for me when I use it religiously. However, and I don;t know if it makes a differencem, but I don't wear any makeup. that may help my situation.

I dont wear any makeup either!
Ive heard so many success stories but my skin just feels oily and grosser!!

I probably should also say that I do not have that bad of skin. It's oily and I get a few break outs that time of the month. I mostly have black heads on my nose which proactive helps with. I think their commercials are the " results are not typical" if you know what I mean.

I stopped using it and my skin is having periodic breakouts.. so I am going to start using it again and see what happens.. I'll let you know

Proactive did work for me but you saw the difference right away I have friends that it made them break out more

Everyone is different. I used it and I noticed my skin became drier but I ddint notice that the blemishes dimished. give it some more time...

People were talking about pro active at work today and one girl said it made her break out a little for the first two weeks then it started to work...I've never used it..this is just what i heard.

My girlfriend swears by that stuff. I don't have problem skin, so I guess I'm not much of a help, but her skin is looking better and better. She did tell me it takes a few weeks to work though.

I never used it myself, but my best friend used it years ago. She had really bad acne and WOW.....what a difference. She swears by it to this day still! For her, it made a huge difference!

I tried proactiv when I was in high school and it didn't work. But now i've started using it again.. and I've been using it for about 1 year now and my skin is much better since I've been using it. Although right now I seem to have a couple pimples.. but I really haven't had them in a long time. I think I noticed a difference after about 1 month. Give it a little time...

I have used Proactiv for years- I haven't ever had a real problem with acne, just occasional breakouts. I tried the whole system at first, but it made my skin so dry, it was painful! My skin tends to be a bit more dry than oily, but it was sooo dry from it. So after the first few months of the whole system, I now just use the repairing lotion (the zit cream!) every night on a clean face...that's all I do. But it works differently for everyone. And it will probably make your face break out for a few weeks once you start using it, because it's bringing all of the pimples to the surface to get rid of them! But, I do still get the occasional pimple, it's not a miracle, but I have had great success with it!

I don't have bad skin....but I used to get the occasional huge zit! I mean, big time. And while I know this is so small compared to girls who have serious skin problems (2 of my sisters had bad skin) I tried proactiv to see how it would work with my skin. I love it, because it keeps my face in balance. And also, I'm not so good with face products, because honestly, I don't wash my face as much as I probably should. I really think that it depends on your skin- what works well for someone, won't always work well for someone else.

I have really bad skin and proactive actually works for me and I have tried everything. Don't get me wrong, other things work for me as well but this is the safest, most effective and most convinient product i have used. I haven't had one pimple since I started using. I've been using it for a few months now.

I used it for a couple of years and had flawless skin aside from the occasional PMS breakout, but about a year ago it just stopped working for me so I really don't use it anymore. ITA about going to see a dermatologist.

I wonder if the reason it makes you break out is along the same lines why you break out after facials. Maybe the Proactiv brings blemishes to the surface so it can heal them. Maybe the pimples you see were already brewing under the surface of your skin and are only coming out so that the Proactiv can heal them topically.

It was a miracle for me. I also dont wear any makeup. I put a little of the redifining lotion on every morning. Just one application a day or it was too greasy.

i loved it!!! it took a little while for it to work, you have to do all three steps twice a day no excuses, but yeah after about two weeks my skin was looking mighty sexy..i only stopped using it cuz i can't afford it right now but once my finances are settled, i'm totally signing up again...i might even make the FH try it

proactive definitely made my skin worse. i used it for weeks and broke out more and more.

I've been using it for a couple years now. It works great. I haven't had any breakouts in a long time, so I'm afraid to stop using it now, haha
