I don't think there was a Father/Daughter dance in FOTB... I think he didn't see her the entire reception. I was always bothered by that! lol. They DID use the song, but I don't know what part of the movie.

You are right, they didn't get a chance to dance together because Steve Martin was running around taking care of things.

They used the song but not for the father daughter dance. It was sung by Steve Tyrell - it was our first dance

You are right, they didn't get a chance to dance together because Steve Martin was running around taking care of things.
Can you imagine not seeing one of your parents the ENTIRE reception? I thought that was a bit silly, but I STILL love that movie!!!

yeah i love that movie too. steve martin danced to "just the way you look tonight" with his wife in the movie at the end when everyone had left.
his "song" (so he said in the movie) with his daughter was "my girl" by the temptations. when they were playing that song in the movie during the reception he spotted his daughter across the room and said something about that being their song and they showed her and he was smiling... but before he could go over and dance with her the cops came about the cars on the lawn and he got distracted and never got the chance... such a sad part, i hated that they didn't have their dance!! but that was the song, according to him in the movie, that was special to him with his daughter.
lol can you tell i've seen it a few times?? haha

The Way You Look Tonight came at the end of the film as the wedding ends and Steve Martin and Diane KEaton are cleaning up. They dance together to the song. ahhh, makes me want to watch it again. BTW my father and I will be dancing to that song
