MUCH NEEDED HELP! I AM A WRECK OVER THIS!

Ok so i have decided to invite 5 people and their spouses from work to my wedding eventhough i am not very close with them cause i have worked with them for only 5 months. i was thinking for so long who to invite that i just sent out the invitations to them and the response time on my invitation is 3/20. do you think that they all think they were like secondary choices for the wedding? do you think i should do some damage control with the owner and my manager so i dont have them thinking that i am just inviting them to fill up my list. When i asked them for their addresses last week i got some weird reactions from them, no one really said anything to me and i feel that everyone is acting kind of weird towards me! please, i need some advice, should i tell them that i did not mean to send the invitations to them so late! i am going crazy over this!

when & where is your wedding? 8 weeks is standard, but we were invited to FH's cousin's destination wedding like a month before hand

Their reactions might have been weird because your invites went out so early. I think May brides just started to mail out their invitations. I wouldn't worry about it though. If they want to come, they will.

And they might have acted weird because they weren't expecting to be invited at all.....don't sweat it. I'm sure it will be fine. If anyone says anything tell them that you made a mistake when you ordered the invites and couldn't order new ones and that the response date was supposed to be later or something if you think that will smooth it over?? I don't have a great answer for this really....sorry.

I am thinking that they were possibly surprised that they were even getting invited. I wouldn't worry

I had a coworker hand me her invitation 3 weeks before the wedding at work...for a quick second i was semi annoyed realizing I was an extreme B-Lister, but then she explained how we only knew each other for a little bit when she sent out the invites and how now we were closer and she'd love for me to be there. When I got to the wedding I realized that she had over 350 people and definitely didnt need to invite me for # purposes, but because she wanted to.

they could be surprised that they are even invited, and it could also be maybe they think its early.... a 3/20 response date for a june wedding is REALLY early- usually response date is like a month before the wedding... so maybe its more of like " why is she sending them out now?" kind of thing... i wouldn't worry about it- if they want to come, they'll come... if not, they won't....
