How many "real" friends do you have?
How many real friends do you have? People you can trust with your secrets, ask favors from last minute, can laugh with for hours etc.

My father always says to me "if you can count your best friend on one hand you are lucky" I've been very blessed in finding (and keeping) great friends.

I've heard that, too; I think it's very true.
The few close friends I have are friends for life and I'm so thankful for them.

I have been really lucky- living on two different coasts I have found such wonderful friends. I have about 5 that I would trust with my life.

You realize who your real friends are when big milestones happen in your life.. a lot of true colors show..

I think I can safely say that I do have at least six. However, I often see the glass as half empty and I wish I still had more childhood friends. My "oldest" friend is someone I met when I was about 16.

I have one friend that I can honestly say would do anything for me, as I would for her! I have a few others too... but I am not as close with them as I once was.
however, I also have a few friends (some I met on this site) that are wonderful ladies and I am lucky to have them in my life

Isnt that the truth... Its amazing the ones you thought really were and then you find out the hard way they arent... VERY SAD...

I have three HS friends I barely see or talk to (it's an email world for us now) like I once did, but know I could always realy on them for support, a laugh or whatever - we've been friends for over 20 years.
And through this site, I have seven awesome friends who again, mostly have an internet relationship with but know I can count on them for the same things as my "live" friends at any moment and sometimes even more than those 20+ year friends.
And then there's my mom ...

I only have like 3 or 4 now. I am ok with it, but I l realized how many people weren' there for me when DH got sick. It helped me reevaluate things.

I would say I have a decent amount of "friends", different groups of them, some you see more often than not.
However, as far as REAL friends (excluding my DH) I have 3 girls in my life that I consider my closest and bestest friends and I don't know what I'd do without them.
