Repost from BHB - Wording Question....HELP!!

I am sort of having a "destination wedding" or at least I like to think so.

I live in Chicago but am getting married on LI. Anyway, we will be having an reception in two weeks when we return to Chicago for those who couldn't make it.

How do I word that and when do I send the invitations out? When we get back from the honeymoon, which gives me only a couple of days. It isn't formal or anything. It's a Thanksgiving service and dinner afterwards. Or, do I send them out now but I feel funny about that because don't I have to say "We got married...blah, blah" but since we aren't quite married yet, I feel funny saying that...

Ok, I'm done...hope this makes sense. Ladies, whadya say?
