Final DIY invite samples!!!
Well... almost final! Still have some minor changes. So, I made this sample with stuff I had around the house. The final invites will be Aquamarine Stardream Metallic (a little shimmer) cardstock for the bottom and top layer, the white will be white and where you see black, will be chocolate brown cardstock with 1/2" aqua double faced satin ribbon. And that is actual burlap.
I am working on a double dolphin graphic in brown outline (anyone who could help with that would be appreciated!) and I will add "Reception to Follow" at the bottom.
Final size is 8 inch square.
Inner "envelope" will be a burlap pouch. Not sure in brown or natural color.
The pouch will be sealed with a chocolate kiss (not the Kaluha "K"), I have a lips wax seal stamp.
This was an early sample, smaller and with a clam shell (got rid of that for postage weight!).
So... just thought I'd share!!!!

 Garsh!!!! Thanks guys!!!! Gee... they told me in '06 to post them here! I'm glad I did!!!
I forgot who asked what.....
I did not use a design software, just a regular Microsoft doc and I (to me felt like calculus) figured out how to set the margins at the top, left and bottom so I can fit two "verse" cards (those are 5" square) on one sheet and then cut down to size with my Fiskars.
The design process took a bit of time. But I worked on it here and there. I was inspired by an invite on www.redbliss.com that has a $1500 minimum order. I tweaked the size, border thicknesses, colors, put in the burlap and whatnot. So happy with the end result.
The fonts are straight off Microsoft. I don't know if I just never notice their fonts (because I could swear I'd seen them all) but one day I went to work on the invites and I felt like there were a ton new cool fonts overnight! The script is PegsannaHMK and the other is Kabel Bk BT.
I think that answered them all.
I am currently working on our reply card (which I think I have a pic in my community album) with the help of some outrageous LIWees and Knotties. I love this resource and bond we have!!!!

Okay..... so I have some splainin' to do!!!
So, you may have read about my amazing overnight "upgrade" of mystery fonts in Microsoft Word..... well.... someone inquired and said she could not find that font (Pegsanna) on MS word. I did a google for it and found out that it is an exclusive font of Hallmark!!! Tee Hee!!!
My mom just got this new Hallmark card making software and after I installed it on her computer, I brought it to put on mine. Well the installation messed up and I have not tried to reinstall but I guess it dumped the fonts into my font file!!!!! And viola! My great font mystery has been solved!!! 
I swear... I am soooooo ready for my summer highlights because I am acting more and more blonde as the days go by!!!!! 
Thanks oOMarshmallowOo ((LOVE THAT FREAKIN' NAME!!!))!!!! Ya know... before I got involved in the bridal stuff I do now... I started to collect some fancy papers and cardstocks to make some samples. I wanted to do a little high end stationary kind of thing. But then I really wanted to put it off until I had the fun and joy of making our own invites so as not to take the joy away and make ours just "work".
I've just put in an inquiry about becoming an approved LIW vendor so until then, I really do not solicite. But anyone interested can FM me!
