SWR: Joseph Christopher Salon

Does anyone use them? I need a change. Also, want to get my make up done for our e-party, was wondering how they are and if anyone has any pics.

I have used them and I wasn't impressed. Have you tried Salon Osio? If you go on their website you can sign up for a free haircut. I had mine with Joey and I loved it - as did FH. Some girls have gotten makeup done their and liked it - do a search. They are in Oceanside.

i had my hair cut there a few times. they are okay. nothing super, IMO.

I've heard they are good but overpriced. Try Salon Sculpture in Island Park, Amanda is really good.

I had used Joseph Christopher for a wedding that I went to, I had them do my hair and makeup and although I liked the end result, I loved my look from Salon Osio better. They were more inexpensive and they did a fabulous job!

i agree with all of you! I actually worked at the one in Long Beach for over a year a while back had no choice but to have my hair done by them( it was the rule) and was never too impressed. Although my moh had her makeup done at the caryle on the green bridal event by the makeup artist from there and it was beautiful!!!

I've never been to JCS, but I have been to Salon Osio. I got the complimentary haircut by Joe, and he did such an incredible job, that I actually have a new salon now. I'm scheduling a make-up and hair trial consult with Dora. Not sure of the price, but it's worth a try. You can also try Sabrina(make-up and Sue(up-do's) from Hair expo in Oceanside. My trials with them went really well.

I used the one in Long Beach and for a haircut and single process color they charged me $200 dollars. I almost fainted when i went up to pay. The thing that gets me is they are charging me all that money for an experienced stylist and 75% of the time the girl working on me was 16 and still in school getting her hours so she can take the cosmetology test!!! Why should i pay 200 dollars for a 16 year old to do my hair...I dont mind spending money i think that was horrible and I would never go back to them.

yup.. they do that all of the time, with the assistant, its ridiculous...

I have used both salons, and I know Joey is back at Joseph Christopher. He's excellent. Salon Osio sold their spa, and now I hear people are looking to leave, I hear their selling their salon. I wouldn' t trust booking my wedding day with them. I would rather pay more, not to worry!
