Don't panic yet - I once thought I gained 5 pounds, and the next day I weighed myself I was back to normal - you can fluctuate up to 5 pounds in a day!

did you weigh yourself at the same time of the day?
The best time to weigh your self is when you wake up, right after you use the bathroom. If you are going to weigh yourself, do it in routine! Don't just jump on the scale and think it is real - a lot comes into play, water retention is the main thing. Did you have a meal with a lot of sodium? Is a time of the month where you may be retaining more water? A lot could go into a weight fluctuation!!!!!!!

Ant is right - don't fret so much. last month I thought I had gained 4 pounds, but it turns I was just bloated. As soon as my "friend" came and went the weight dissapeared.

Don't worry about it! I usually go up about 3 or 4 lbs after I've had pasta or something salty for dinner. By the day after, it's back down to where I was before...or less!
