Jewish Friday Night Wedding
I am looking to have my wedding on a Friday night. The only problem is that I am Jewish and want a rabbi to marry me. Does anyone know of any reform rabbis that will be willing to do the cermony on a Friday night if I have the ceromony before sun down? Thanks for your help!!

I'm sorry to say this but I don't think you will be able to get any Rabbi to marry you on Friday night. Most Rabbis affiliated with a temple will be preparing for services.
It would have to be way before sundown.

You might have trouble finding even a reform rabbi to marry you on a Friday night.

Try doing a search for Rabbis who perform Interfaith ceremonies. They may me more likely to perform a ceremony on a Friday night.

Having a Jewish Friday night wedding is a contradiction. It just can't be done. It's worth having it on another day or night to have a beautiful Jewish ceremony, and use a good rabbi.

If cost is an issue, try a Sunday morning wedding, it will be about as much as a Friday night wedding. I don't think you will be able to get a rabbi (even a reform rabbi) to marry you on a friday night because I think that you are not supposed to get married during the sabbath (friday night to saturday). There are also certain forbidden days which you cannot get married.

Rabbi Roger Ross of Loving Hearts Ceremonies will do it and so will Rabbi Stein from the shul of new york.
ETA I knowthese rabbis will perform on shabbat, but friday night may be a problem only in that in contradicts weith services.
We're having our wedding a saturday, but we're trying to have the ceremony before sundown..we're bad!
ETA: I totally missed the part where you said "Before sundown" I think the major problem with that as someoen said is trhat if it's a rabbi who has a congregation they'll be prepping for shabbat.

I had the same problem because I am getting married on a Sat night before sundown and I found one. FM me for the info.

hun, i'm sorry to say, but the answer is no.
no jewish clergy--rabbi or cantor-- will perform any lifecycle event on shabbat.
ETA:
i know some brides have been able to find liberal clergy members to perform their weddings on saturdays before shabbat officially ends.

Reform Rabbis are still Jewish, you know. No Rabbi is going to break Shabbat.
I too, would suggest the Sunday Morning option - that's what I did.
