Proofs on CD
I am interested in only having digital photos at this time. I was thinking about putting together the album, etc myself (shutterfly or someone else). And also print the photos individually and put them in my own frames.
A photographer told us that a "regular" places could not print our high resolution proofs from the CD because they don't have the software.
Apparently, a lot of people are opting for digital.
Did you ever heard that you cannot print the photos?
TIA

Re: Proofs on CD
The photographer was lying to you.. you can save money and get the same quality by using a shutterfly or something else... there was one place (well known) in particular that even suggested it to save money...
They are just trying to get more money out of you..

Re: Proofs on CD
I did hear from one photographer that while a place like CVS or something may be able to print off the CD - it won't come out with the same resolution - so they'd be of lower quality than they actually are. Also, there may be copyright issues.

Re: Proofs on CD
Can shutterfly print photos also?
Does anyone knows about copyright? Don't they have to give you the original by Law anyway.

Re: Proofs on CD
When you get your proofs ditigal, orginal, untouch, they are in the range of 8 to 10 megs in size. When you get proofs like that, they are really on DVD.
CVS and places like that don't read dvd's, only cd's
they are large files and resoultions. software will try its best to convert them.

Re: Proofs on CD
i believe shutterfly, you have to upload them (internet) so it really doesn't matter
