Bachelor Party Question

My mom thinks that FH should invite my dad to his bachelor party. She said it is tradition to invite the dad. Is your FH going to invite your dad and his dad to the bachelor party?

Re: Bachelor Party Question

To be honest, my FH can't imagine a bachelor party without him. Him and my Dad are really close. I guess it depends on the relationship. Speak to your FH about it.

My FH thinks that is no longer the tradition.

Re: Bachelor Party Question

Would your dad get offended if he is not invited?
If not, then stick to FH's wishes. Your Mom will get over it!

To be honest I don't know if my dad would or would not be offended. I feel like maybe FH should invite him b/c my dad is paying for the wedding

But on the other hand my dad would be the only older guy there, and I want FH to relax and have fun

Re: Bachelor Party Question

If your dad is going to be the only older guy there, he may not even want to go. And, yes you want your FH to have a great time and relax and be himself.. Did you mention it to your dad yet? Your dad may not even want to go. He may not feel comfortable. What do you think?

Re: Bachelor Party Question

If my dad is invited, he will go, he would think it would be rude not to. Even if he wont be comfortable

Re: Bachelor Party Question

FH is going to a football game with the guys so my father and his father will go to that, and then they will be going to dinner which again our father's will go to, but when they go out after that our dad's will go home, as well as our older cousin's and uncle's (probably just his friends, brother's, my brother, and our cousin's that our our age will go out).

Re: Bachelor Party Question

Both Dads were invited to FH's bachelor party in Vegas. His Dad isn't going but mine is.

I also invited both Moms to my bachelorette party in Florida. Luckily only my Mom is going!

Re: Bachelor Party Question

My FH is planning on having a destination bachelor party with his friends and then a night out in the city one where he will invite my dad, my uncles and my cousins as well as whomever else he feels like inviting.

I'm thinking of doing the same for my bachelorette. Having a few of my closer friends go away with me and then having a night out in the city with family members and some other friends.

Re: Bachelor Party Question

As you can imagine, it all depends on what the bachelor party entails. If they are going to have a wild night of drinking and strip clubs, then I'd say no. Your mom might be nieve and think it's a regular dinner party or something. She might not know how crazy bachelor parties tend to be.
