What did you write in your thank yous?

I would assume most guests would get a similar message... what did you put inside?

Some were different depending on who it was for,

Dear So and So -

Thank you so much for attending our wedding and sharing our special day with us. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

Thank you for your very generous gift. We truly appreciate your kindness. Your wedding gift will help as we begin our new life together.

(For a gift from our registry or not from our registry, I named the gift and put a brief description how we would use it.)

it was more general that i wrote...i said thank u for your generous gift and for coming to the wedding. hope you had a good time. if they came from out of town, i thanked them for coming. people that took part of the ceremony, i wrote a little more

Thank you so much for your generous gift (or gift if it was not generous ). Bill and I put it in our house fund and will hopefully be able to use it soon.

We loved having you share our wedding day and we hope you had a good time. (if they came from OOT I said "thank you so much for making the trip to NY to share in our day and we hope you enjoyed your visit")

If the gift was a registry item I described how we would use it/display it.
