I'm Tired of People....Here is my Wedding Vent
Why is it that some people feel that they need to critique every aspect of your wedding. Did I ask for your opinion...NO! This is my wedding not yours. I don't care if you or your husband like my dress, my shoes, my invites or the freaking STAMPS on my invites. I don't care if you are going to like my favors or like the venue where my wedding is going to be held. Yes my wedding is on a Friday and not a Saturday evening, well too bad! It's a May wedding and not June or September one, so oh well!!! My flowers are orchids not roses nor white....opps...don't care! My ring is not 5 carats and doesn't scream BLING BLING....but neither does your daughters so I don't want to hear a thing! Oh and I'm not having a chocolate fountain...SO SHOOT ME!
Okay vent over! Thanks for listening. By the way this is the type of day I am having...how bout you?

I completely agree with EVERYTHING you just said!! By the way, you're getting married on my Birthday! (not that that matters)

It seems that whenever you say you are getting married it gives everyone the right to give you their opinion & then try to force ideas on you!!! They just don't get it

you are soooooooooooooooooooooo not alone here....i've realized that other people have very strong opinions about your wedding...would drive me nuts until i just started ignoring it.
i've learned the WORST thing to do is to say to someone "oh, i'll think about it" or "hm, that sounds like an idea." b/c then whoever told you their idea will hound you for days until you either agree with them or slap the sh!t out of them for bothering you....
hang in there and let it out!!

People are rude - and feel the need to comment on things that are none of their business. My favors, wedding time (afternoon), season (summer is so hot, blah blah blah), honeymoon selection, ceremony location, choice to use band have all been commented rudely on. Screw them all I say - it is my wedding so it will be how I want it (PS I love orchids - I'm using them too!)!

i am with you 100%. One of my BMs who i will refer to as the not so helpful helpful BM apparently thinks my color scheme and shoes are a nightmare. She even got her husband to express some concerns about my silver shoes with my white dress. thanks but no thanks, i already tried them on together and they happen to look fab-u. hang in there. it's your wedding!

Yes!!! My Stamps!!! I got stamps made up at photo.stamps.com because I didn't want to use 2 stamps and my invites cost 87 cents to mail out, so I did the whole pic on an invite thing. Well someone said how corny it is and cheesy and stupid and all that crap. I mean seriously. They are freaking stamps!! I thought they were cute and whatever, leave my stamps alone...meanie
