Valentines QOTD- What did you guys do your first Valentine's Day?

Happy Valentine's Day ladies. Since we are all on the cusp of becoming (or have already become ) wives, on this day of love I was wondering this:

what did you do or how did you celebrate your first Valentine's Day with fh (dh)?

Happy V-day Jess. Our first Valentine's I was sick as a dog-Mike came over & watched TV with me! I can't believe that was 8 years ago!!

This is our 11th Valentine's together, so it is kind of surprising that I remember the first one, but I do. Probably because it was the only one were we exchanged gifts...LOL...we were still teenagers..

Anyhoo, I cooked fh dinner and gave him some candy gummy worms in a cute mug, but fh FAR outdid me. I guess we were on the cusp of falling in love (our puppy love stage ) so for Valentine's Day, he made me close my eyes while he "played" my gift for me.

Remembering that I LOVE Elvis, he bought me the greatest hits CD, but instead of wrapping it and handing it to me, he put it in the CD player and played "Can't Help Falling in Love" he made me cry.

it is still one of my fondest memories of us together...all these years later!

I HONESTLY can't remember...and I remember EVERYTHING...it was 7 years ago....

Today is mine and FH's third anniversary!!

Every year on Valentines Day, I threw a "Black Hearts Day" Singles Party at a local dive bar in the city. It became fairly popular.

I wasn't expecting my FH to show up. We were aquaintances at the time with mutual friends and I never really officially "invited" him. He was sporting a new hair cut (he used to have long hair) and at first I didn't recognize him. He looked AMAZING! After talking for an hour or so, he asked me if I wanted to go see this band that was playing down the block. We left my singles party and went on a date that night - the rest is history!

Our first V-Day I got my tonsils out. We went to dinner the night before, and he brought me 2 dozen roses

On our first Valentine's we went to see Aida and went to Morton's for dinner. I got the flowers and chocolates too. He did the whole thing. It was great!

We went on a ski trip with friends. We got back to his house and he brought me to his room - he gave me a heart pendant & a ring that said "I love you" on the side.

That was the 1st time Anthony told me he loved me.

We went to DC for the weekend. We went out to dinner at my favorite restaurant there, wandered the town and some people at the hotel asked us if we were newlyweds!! LOL

Even way back then (and we were only dating for a month at the time) I knew something was happening. I had a fake ring on my left ring finger, and he got upset. I asked why and he said "I don't want to see a ring on that finger unless I put it there". Well, 2 years later, and the ring he put on my finger is there!!!

It was our first date I posted on the first date thread... I went to his house for dinner, I rented some 'romantic' movie, but we watched Fatal Attraction instead

He brought me to the Bronx Zoo where I always wanted to go and, even though it was cold, there were so many animals out. We had a picnic there and than two years later he brought me back to propose to me over the same picnic lunch

On our first V-Day we were in 8th grade. We went ice skating and he gave me a white teddy bear with red ears and paws. I still have it somewhere!

We went to Mohunk Mountain House and got a room with a fireplace. It was the most amazing place! We had the most relaxing time there and the food was great.

That's where he brought me to propose so now I love it even more.

Hmm I really dont remember...I think he took me out to dinner but I dont remember...oh wait...I remember buying him the Polo Sport cologne and he bought me a crystal figurine (two swans)...he didnt know yet that I was NOT into knick knacks!

Our first Valentine's day together he cooked me dinner at his apartment. He knew I hated Valentine's Day and wanted it to be special. That year we bought gifts for each other- I bought him a Fossil watch and he got me tickets to see Les Miserables before it closed. But that night he cooked my favorite dinner from scratch, chicken parm, and made a caprese salad (mozzarella, tomotoe & basil) and we ate by candle light. Then he bought this mushy cd and we danced to it. At that point we had been dating 4 months and we already knew that we would get married.

when DH and I first started dating, he lived in OH.

I flew there for V-day weekend and we barely came up for air

such memories.....
