We must be the stupidest couple by far!!! Very long - but had to share!!!
I don't know if you ladies remember me B*tching and moaning yesterday about how our plans to the city were ruined because our boiler needed to be fixed, and I wanted to go to our favorite rest. in the city - well, they guy came, we managed to shower, and last nite we drove to the city, ate at our rest. (I was so full, I thought I was gonna barf - no joke!) and then we drove to my parents apt. on the east side - in the 60's, where I also grew up, btw.
Ususally, we have a time finding a parking space, and have to resort to a garage - well, not last nite - we got a spot literally in front of the building!!!
So, we sleep over, were going to go downtown so I can buy FH his gift - a special skateboard designed by our artist friend De La Vega, and FH looks out the window, and he's like - we aren't going anywhere!!!
Of course, we were plowed in - FH had to borrow a shovel and a broom to get the car out of the spot - we were like, the one time we were lucky with parking, and it takes us an hr to ge out! 
He's like - lets just go straight home - I say - no problem, but not w/o getting starbucks 1st... So, we park in front, he runs in, gets us coffee - he comes in, and says - lets drive down to Essa Bagel!
So, we are the only fools in the city driving around all over the place buying bagels and coffee!!!
THEN - he says - lets just see if De La Vega is open - he didnt know what I was going to get, but he knew I wanted to get somehting there for him - this is all the way on St. Marks. He's closed - but then I see Jenny's is open - my fave place to get my soy bubble tea. I make him wait while I get a tea...
So - we basically drove to the city to eat, get coffee, bagels, and bubble tea, driving around in treacherous conditions... Are we the stupidest couple aliv, or what?
we are home safe and sound - and, to tell you the truth, it was the most fun we had in a while!!!

Thanks - on the way home, we came across a car that spun out on LIE across a few lanes - he was backwards - luckily he hit no one, and got thru it safely - but made us super aware and how little control you have in these situations!!!

glad you guys had fun and lucky enough to get home - the roads were in rare form (as you know) ummm, patrick dempsey is on tonight - my favorite eye candy !
By the way - whats your favorite rest. in the city anyway?

We get the following each time (we are a bit OCD!) - Mock popcorn shrimp, Disco fries with nondairy cheese, McKate Burger, southern Fried cutlet, and the tofu cheesecake (I was so nauseous eating all that yesterday - ever since I lost more weight, I just can't pack it away the way i used to!!!)
