Priscilla of Boston?
Has anybody been to the Priscilla of Boston store in Roslyn? Can you FM me with your experiences there please?
I've fallen in love with a Watters and Watters gown, and according to the Watters website, that's the only store in the area that carries all of their styles, so I figured that would be a good place to start.

Re: Priscilla of Boston?
Priscilla of Boston is a very nice, beautiful store. The salespeople are extremely nice and friendly and they take very good care of you. Ask for Kathy, she really knows what she is doing.
As a side note, you can find Watters dresses a lot of places besides this store. I know Bridal Reflections in Massapequa has a ton of thier styles, but I would highly reccomend you dont buy from them. They are rude and many brides have had major problems with them. However, Bridal Reflections is a great place to have your girls go try on dresses and then once you pick the dress you like, you can go buy them from somewhere else.
NETbride.com and gownfind.com can offer you deep deep discounts on Watters dresses. (I am talking $75-$100 off most styles).
If cost is a concern, find your style at a retail store and buy from netbride or gownfind. If its not a concern, definately check out Priscilla of Boston.

Thank you so much! I know other stores have Watters dresses, but their website listed this as the one store that has the whole collection, so I figured that if people had good experiences there it was the best place to start, since then they'd definitely have the ones I had my eye on.
I'm definitely going to keep in mind the idea of trying it on in a store and then buying online, especially for my bridesmaids. The Watters dresses are pretty reasonably priced and I'm willing to spend a little more for my own dress, but I definitely do not want to ask my bridesmaids to pay any more than they have to, and I certainly wouldn't mind saving a few dollars myself!

Re: Priscilla of Boston?
My bm have Wtoo which is by watters and watters too. We got the dresses from Priscilla of Boston. It is a nice place but I wasn't that thrilled. I actually wish I would kept on looking. I was in that I have to get everything done this summer mode. It could just been the sales rep. I had. Best of luck!

I was not thrilled with their service. We tried on the samples and the woman tried to just order the sample size... when some of us were blatantly not 8s or 10s. Obviously they were looking forward to the alteration process.
We had to be asked to be measured.
BUT, they do have great dresses

Re: Priscilla of Boston?
Priscilla is great -- got my dress there and i'm very happy. they sit down and actually LISTEN to what you like/don't like (a few other shops didn't pay attention to that important detail.)
I'm working with Dina, but she's currently on maternity leave so i'd ask for michelle. she's the manager and very helpful. you'll definately have a good experience there.
on another note, i'd double check that they carry your designer. last time i was there, they only had their own line and Melissa Sweet.

I am getting my dress there!!! they are great there. YOu actually feel like you are being treated like a customer! They are on the higher price side, but I'd recommend them. I wouldn't recommend Bridal Reflections either. I am not a fan but if you search the topic, you'll see that many brides don't have plesent bridesmaid experience.

They definately have watters dresses there, as well as a variety of other designers. I just bought a watters bm from them about 3 weeks ago.

Re: Priscilla of Boston?
I bought my own dress and my bridesmaid dresses there (Watters -- actually WToo [part of the Watters line]).
The Priscilla staff is very nice to work with -- you get a lot of personal attention, and you avoid the chaotic, warehouse atmosphere that a lot of other places have. I am working with Christine, and she is great.
Feel free to FM if you have any questions!
