Calling all Greek Brides...

FH & I are debating about Italy for our HM...mostly because of the weather - we would be going at the end of Nov beginning of Dec and are worried that it might be a little to cold to walk around and enjoy most of the sights and scenary...anyway I've always wanted to see Santorini -

Has anyone been to Greece at this time of year...is the weather comparable to Italy at this time of year or is it warmer? Are there any other islands that may be warmer than Santorini at this time of the year...

greece is awesome (obviously I am a little biased) however it is a little chilly. Its the same as italy. I would recommend it in the summer rather than november especially since Santorini, although beautiful (actually my favorite island) doesn't have a whole lot of site seeing. Its known for its natural beauty and beaches.

FM lilqtpie2181...Penny lived there for a while when she was in her teens (i think) so she should know all about the weather. HTH!!!

The Greek Islands are always beautiful, but if you are taking the trip all the way there you may want to go when its warmer. During that time of year you can still venture out and explore, but there won't be much beach time or swimming. It's pretty comparable to Italy during that time of year. Also, if it is somewhat stormy or windy many of the ferries that go from island to island won't travel. We were there for Greek Easter in May and weren't they cancelled all the interisland boats due to winds.
