Let' s be honest girls about the BP.....................

Is there anyone who put someone in their wedding party just because she or he is a member of your FH's family. Deep down u know they are going to do or say something that will annoy u on your special day. I have a feeling my FH will want his rowdy little niece as a flower girl and his equally rowdy nephews as ushers. I feel like once u feel obligated. Your whole family will end up being the wedding party. Who will be the guest. When does the BS wedding politics stop!

yes, my FSIL is on my side and she has done nothing but ***** about the dress, "doesn't know" if she can make it to the showers and bachelorette party, and shows a general lack of enthusiasm.....if it was my choice I wouldn't have her in my BP.

No family members in either side of the wedding. I know his sister would not want to be a BM and I have 3 brothers so he couldn't pick just one so they were all left out. We are having my nieces as flower girls but they will only be at the church and they are 3 so not too much drama from them hopefully

Thank God I'm not dealing w/ that! The only thing is one particular family member on his side who his parents automatically thought would get to be in the limo bus w/ us. I can't get into details, but it's gonna get ugly if they insist!
But I agree wedding politics ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I def have some friends who I felt obligated to ask due to "package deals", and somehow I wound up with 12 BMs!! I waited as long as I could to ask, and although everyone was excited about our engagement, my true friend's colors have shown through.

Um YES! Partially because there was no one else...and then she was in my FI's family...and guess what...SHE is the one giving me the MOST problems

Yes...I am dealing with that right now. FSIL said to me after I asked her to be in the bridal party "well, I dont want to but now that you asked me, I have to". That's just the start of how things have been going. While she hasnt said anything directly to ME, she has said things to FMIL who has, in turn, said them to me (in a not so nice way). FMIL informed me that she told FSIL to "back out while she can". Thats wonderful! She dosent want to order the dresses when we need to, dosent want to be up in front of everyone at the ceremony, and shows little to no enthusiam that FH an I are getting married...but then again, not many people inFH's family have.

Yes, this happened to be a bit of a problem at first. I have two brothers and 4 sisters. I am haveing all my sisters as my BM and I had to include my brothers as GM. My FH had a problem with this b/c he believes he she have the say and he wanted all his frineds. In the end he gave in and I am including my two brothers. I love my FH

Honestly, no. I'm having both my two FSIL's in the BP. FH said I didn't have to but I really wanted too and they have been so great and helpful.

For so many of the above reasons, and others that aren't as "upsetting" (for lack of a better word), we chose to only have a MOH and a Best Man. Not sure if anyone disagreed with this or not, but it was our decision, and one I don't regret one bit!!

I put my FH's Niece in the wedding knowing that her mother would b!tch about the cost of the dress. She said she wasn't paying the amount for the dress, I kicked her off my line, and the rest is history!

I am having FSIL, but we are friends... i kinda fear some complaining, but that is ok... I do kinda fear political crap not having FH SIL in the BP, but we just dont really get a long and are NOT friends...

My FSIL is in the bridal party along with her husband and two children but we're close.
I have to say that she has been the 2nd most helpful person (aside from my MOH). She's done more for me than 2 of my BM's together. I guess I'm very lucky!!

Nope! DH has two sisters with families...We are both close to one and her entire family...the other...well
We asked her and her kids...knowing she would refuse without her hubby...well guess what?! She refused! She said well, the kids can still be in it...NOPE!
I know...it may sound mean, but only if you knew her!

My FH has a couple of very obnoxious little cousins that I'm sure his aunt (their mother) would love to see in our wedding party, but luckily FH and I saw eye to eye and said no way. Now the kids are supposedly not even coming to the wedding because they'll be away at summer camp!! I was so happy when I heard the news!!

Ring Bearer (FH's nephew)..will be 2 1/2 and he's always crying/unhappy when I see him. I really hope his other grandparents will grab him asap when he cries during our ceremony..and he will.
