Envelope etiquette - where do you write an apartment number?

I'm not sure about the correct way to address an envelope with an apartment! Does it go on a separate line? Please tell me if you know! TIA

Envelope etiquette - where do you write an apartment number?

I'm not sure about the correct way to address an envelope with an apartment! Does it go on a separate line? Please tell me if you know! TIA

It depends on how long the street address is.

Some of my guests who lived in an apartment were able to fit on the same line as the street address. Those were the ones who had numbered street addresses. Others with longer street addresses had to have the calligrapher write the apartment number in the bottom LEFT hand corner of the envelope. It looked fine. If you are using a calligrapher or a company, they should know what to do.
