Engagement Gift Help!!
My cousin got engaged last night and my mom and I want to get her engagement gifts, but I can't think of anything!! She's having a destination wedding and won't be getting married for at least another year and a half. When I got engaged my aunt bought me our toasting flutes, whcih was a great idea, but my mom doesn't want to do the same thing for my cousin...any ideas??? Please share your favorite engagement gift!!
Thanks so much!!

Re: Engagement Gift Help!!
The Lenox Wedding Promises photo album is really pretty. It will definitely be useful, especially if she's having a destination wedding!
eta: I just checked the lenox site - they're having a 40% off sale on a lot of wedding items! OR you coudl take a ride to the outlet in Riverhead.
sale stuff: http://www.lenox.com/coll/index.cfm?fuseaction=colDetail&colid=103&kf=95

Re: Engagement Gift Help!!
There's also a magazine for Destination Weddings - how about a subscription?

That's a good one!
I was going to suggest toasting flutes or something from the Lenox store, that's what I did for my cousin (went to the Lenox store and got flutes-they were having an e-party and not planning on registering).
Wine is also a nice gift.
I got a few bridal books in the beginning as well as engagement gifts.
ETA: Informational books about the destination (if they have it chosen yet) would be good too!

Re: Engagement Gift Help!!
I love the precious moments engaged pieces. I also really loved the frame and photo album I got which was engraved that had our names and the day we got engaged. I filled it with all the pics from that night.
Also, my FSIL had a basket made for me which was so cool, it had a pic frame, bridal magazine, wedding countdown clock, "honeymoon fund" bank, jewelery cleaner it was really put together nice.

Re: Engagement Gift Help!!
how about a wedding picture frame? A lot are crystal, one side holds a wedding pic and the other the invitation...i'm assuming she's doing invitations even though its a destination wedding?
or how about a cake knife set she can use at the wedding.
if jewish, kiddish cups?
