Signature drinks at the CH or recepetion??

Is anyone doing this? Does every hall allow this??

I was not planning on it for the wedding but since you brought it up, I just picked up some tangerine flavored pomegranite juice and orange vodka and we have citris rimming sugar so I'm going to make citris pomegranite martinis for our Superbowl party!

That could make for a yummy wedding signature drink!

I don't see why you could not give a recipe to the bartender, have him whip up a full bottle or two ready made, make some cute cards in frames on the bar with a cute name and recipe and there you have a signature drink!

We're doing it at CH. It's part of package. Apple martinis and cosmos.

Mojitos for us!!! FH is Cuban!!! I think it will be a nice touch.

seriously though, I decided against it. As an event planner, I felt it wasn't wedding like to have "Soco and Lime" as my drink of choice, but some people have one and thats fine. What we are doing is taking drinks already in existence and naming them names of things in our lives. For example: captain and coke: name of FI hometown
Gin and tonic: name of my dad's horse
Cranberry and Vodka: name of our pug
Beer: The RedFox (after my college mascot)

thought people would get a kick out of it

Yes we are...I found a recipe in a magazine, gave it to our BM and they will be serving them at the wedding...they're even naming it and making a little sign for it.

We're having a signature drink passed around and as an option at CH and of course you can order it during the reception.

Just another way to incorporate some color...

We are definitely doing the signature drink thing!
It wa soriginally going to be Mojitos, but we have moved away from the Cuan theme. We are now more into a South Pacific theme, does anyone have any suggestions?

We are doing them at our cocktail hour. They were part of our wedding package. We are having a blue theme and we are still looking for the "perfect" drink.

I was thinking of having a reddish margarita, if that's possible, as our drink to match the color scheme, and to signify the Mexican restaurant where Joe and I officially met.

Yes we had a Martini bar and our signature drink was our last name with the tini at the end of it, we had it framed with the ingredients edited to say we got lucky that our last name sounds good with the tini, my maiden name would have never!!

3 oz. Love Potion
1 0z. kisses and hugs
etc.

stuff like that 5 lines and at the bottom it said drink is a Cosmopolitan. Our colors were Pink and white so that matched closest to a popular drink you know most drink. It was a hit!!!

Ingredients
4 oz. Ice
Jose Cuervo Tequila
1 1/2 oz. Sweet & Sour mix
4 oz. Raspberry Puree
Mixing Instruction
Blend. Garnish with lime wheel.

we dis signature drink - we had a love for all seasons wedding so we had one for each season
summer - key lime martini
fall - carmel appletini
winter - white chocalte mint martini
spring - flirtini

we had menus at the martini bar, and on each table, and some scattered around the cocktail area

Were having bahama mama's and another caribbean drink since were going there on our HM the next day! Its a great way to have Guest kick off the HM with you!

Our guests were greeted with a choice of cosmopolitan, blueberry martini or a glass of champagne.

She custom makes you a drink , gives you a recipe and names it

We did it for both. I don't see why a hall wouldn't allow it. Just check when doing your menu's that they will have all the ingredients on hand.
