RP from 06: Brides who already tied-the-knot: Question 4 U
This is going to sound really wierd, but can you remember/explain what goes on w/ the music during the ceremony? We'll be playing the theme from Princess Bride for the BP, and for me, I think it's call I Will Love You (or something!) So what I'm wondering is: does the BP start walking out right when the music starts? And does that song play all the way through? Did you walk out right away when your song came on, or did you let it play a bit? Does it keep playing while you are getting settled at the altar? I'm asking b/c we might not have the dj do the music b/c we'll be on the beach, and I need to know incase I have someone else take care of it. Thank you!

Re: RP from 06: Brides who already tied-the-knot: Question 4 U
First off, relax. You sound so anxious and nervous!! On your wedding day no one will expect you to control everything...you will have help - whether from family or the Maitre 'D or a DOC (if you hire one) - so don't stress!
As for the song...they start playing the song and obviously (since we're human) that's our (and by our I mean BP, parents, bride...person!) cue to start walking. So yes, a few seconds pass before someone starts marching down the aisle. When your (as in bride) song comes on you will feel amazing and will start walking...and no, the whole song doesn't play because it doesn't usually 2-3 minutes to walk down the aisle. So the DJ or the church organist or the band leader or the musician will know exactly what to do and what to play.
Lucky for us, even though this is our first time as brides...our vendors are very seasoned. So choose them well and breathe...it will all be OK! If you're doing this yourself, I recommend asking your DJ to be there (usually it's a couple hundred more) or asking them if they could put a CD together). But you'll know...once that music comes on, you start walking.
Sorry for the novel...best wishes!
